I talk about this because someone I used to know, like waaaaay back when I was a kid, sent me a message over at Facebook and said, "You've blossomed into a beautiful young woman. May pinagawa ka ba?" Hahaha! The nerd!
But seriously, meron talaga ako pinagawa. Yes. My teeth. I got braces when I was 26. Simple as that. I had too many teeth apparently, which was the reason my teeth stuck out in front and was sungki-sungki pa. I looked like a horse. So the ortho removed 4 teeth. Yup, count them and weep. I darn near fainted the day she pulled them out. But when the teeth were pushed back in and aligned--just in time for my wedding!--I looked ohhhh so much better. Look how nice my smile is:
So if you want to look better, forget the boob job, nose job, whatever job. Go to an orthodontist first and get your teeth looked at.
I actually need to have my teeth fixed again. My two pregnancies kinda made them move--there's a widening gap between my left incisor and whatever the tooth next to it is called. And my front teeth have started to stick out again, as you can see here:

Really! The nerd! Lol! When i was in highschool, i was flat chested then in 4th year, i got my period (yes, late bloomer!). After a year in college, my breasts began to really get big so when i saw an old HS classmate, she asked if i had a boob job. The NERD! Haha!
ReplyDeleteLOL Me, too. Flat-chested, as in size AA! Then I got pregnant and they filled out a little. Then I started breastfeeding and now they're insane. LOL
DeleteI got my teeth done too. I had 2 HUGE bunny teeth (as seen here) as a kid and my ortho had to cut *shivers* the sides of both teeth to make them go in. The pains of looking good!

DeleteActually, the ortho told me my teeth are too big for my mouth. So she could either cut all the sides of my front teeth (as in all of them!) OR pull out 4 teeth. I opted for the pulling out. It sounded faster haha.
I had 4 teeth removed and wore a retainer for a year ; p I want to undergo a double eyelid surgery / procedure but decided against it.

Hi Ate France! I've been contemplating on getting braces too. I think it's in our Beltran genes, the overbite and the sungal. I have to endure being called "Bugs Bunny" in school. When someone's taking a picture, I always have to make sure that I'm looking at the camera because my side view reveals the malocculusion too much. I have tried using only retainers before and my dentist have already trimmed the sides of two of my teeth, but after some time, they start to stick out again. Now that I can afford it, I'll definitely invest on braces.
ReplyDeleteI wore braces too for a year when I was 14 years old. Once that got removed, I gained so much weight because eating is so much easier.

LOL me too! I was sooo skinny when I had my braces on! I think that's another incentive for me to get braces again—must get skinny!!!

ReplyDeleteI had braces as a child, plus I also had 4 teeth pulled...it was a horrible experience, but looking back I'm pretty glad my parents took me to see the orthodontist!

DeleteI had my teeth done too--just in time for my wedding also, coz I wanted to wear a red lipstick. Then because I'm pasaway and didn't wear the invisible retainers, they became sungki again. I had another set of braces for a few months, and now I'm compliant to the retainers. hihi..Ohhh, and I had a Laser Hair Removal too!! Underarms..and now lower leg! :)

Deleteit's my second time to wear braces, had my first way back in HS pero sa katigasan ng ulo ko nairita ata ortho so after a year, tinanggal na. LOL last 2005 i decided to wear braces again, this time i paid for it so i told myself ttyagain ko na. til now i still have braces, yes 7yrs na! there's something wrong with my bite pa din and im too stubborn to wear the elastics. minsan kasi kadiri when u talk at tatalsik sha. hahaha... one time a former classmate messaged me on FB and asked if i had my nose done. ay, wit! mokap lang yan sabi ko. i am planning to have my eyebags removed though.
