That's the great thing about Welch's Sparkling Juices - there's white, red, and the pretty pink rosè - they make us want to celebrate! We keep a chilled bottle ready for whatever happy occasion. And even in these crazy times, there's always a reason to celebrate. We just need to open our eyes to what's good in our lives and choose to honor it.
Let me share with you my own list on why I choose to be happy:
1. My family is together.
And in the 5 months we've been stuck together at home, we haven't killed each other! Wow, we really do like each other! Kidding aside, I'm happy I'm with the people I love most in the world. I know so many other families aren't together or their work exposes them every day they need to leave the house. So I'm grateful. Really beyond grateful I have my boys with me.
2. We are all healthy.
It's been 150+ days and so far, so good. Please let us be healthy forever, Lord.
3. Vito turned 10!
Actually, all my sons had their birthdays in quarantine. While we always celebrated their birthdays at home, we do miss the fun we had after the kids blow out the candles on their cake. We'd usually go to Kidzoona or Kidzania. But why look for something you can't have? This year's birthdays were fun, too! This year's new tradition: the treasure hunt for their gifts! So fun! Kahit maliit bahay namin, and daming hiding places pala. The kids had a blast!
4. I'm learning watercolor painting.
I signed up for May de Jesus-Palacpac's watercolor classes and look at what I made at our first class!
I'm so happy. May is such a good teacher. I'm going to get her to teach my kids painting for the art class of our homeschooling this year.
We've been busy with hobbies these past 5 months. My kids have been learning to play the piano on their own, no classes or video tutorials. They've also been creating their own board games, writing books. My husband bought a 3D printer and he's been printing out these amazing things and learning to paint them, too. So fun!
5. We discovered lots of good food and good neighbors.
I'm going to blog about all my food discoveries this quarantine. I try to cook every day (lessen exposure to the outside world ba) but nakakapagod siya. Etong quarantine, parang wala na akong ginawa kundi magluto! My kids seem to have black holes for stomachs! So thank the heavens for restaurants and new food businesses.
Another thing I'm grateful for is my neighbors. I don't think I can ever live without pasabuy anymore. Meron pang freebies. We just Viber each other, "I have extra rambutan. Who wants?", "I baked cookies. Who wants to taste?", "I'm growing lettuce. P120 a kilo. Who wants?" or "Naubusan ako ng cheese. Pwede pahingi?" Even if the world goes back to normal, I need this newfound neighborliness forever!
I'm also so happy that Welch's renewed their sponsorship of my blog!
I like Welch's. Kaya nga I endorse all their products! Not only are they delicious, they're good for the body, too. And now they just launched their new bubbly, Welch’s Sparkling Rosè.
It's a non-alcoholic drink so everyone in your family can have a glass. It has a light taste - a little sweet and a little tart - that's made delightfully refreshing because of all the bubbles! Even though quarantine is still in effect, we didn't put off our celebrations and you bet Welch’s Sparkling Rosè was part of every celebration - kahit simple Sunday lunch lang, a bottle is there! Elevate experiences, diba?
You, too, can raise a glass and celebrate any occasion (birthdays, anniversaries, virtual graduations, baby showers) with Welch’s Sparkling Rosè. You can get Welch’s Sparkling Rosè at Waltermart, Robinsons Supermarket, and Landers. You may also have Welch’s Sparkling Rosè and other Welch’s juices delivered at your doorstep by visiting https://acefoodservice.com. You can also order from the following online groceries: metromart.com, Lazmart, and waltermartdelivery.com.ph.

ReplyDeleteaneong...i am always thankful everyday though life gets tougher. One thing I am thankful for is that my brother still has a job at abs-cbn though nothing's certain. he might lose it as well and it's gonna be crazy tough for my family because both of us sharing for our pagibig house loan. if he'll be jobless. i dont think i can pay the loan on my own coz my salary as an esl teacher isnt enough. btw, i am also very grateful that i can wfh and i got a good news yesterday that my contract is renewed for the next 3 more months. blessings come always unexpectedly and it makes our hearts full. 😍 and also, even if i am still single at 39, it is ok coz i still have mommy and daddy. they are my angels here on earth. i am so much blessed to have them. - ann de borja itay (fb) 😘 anndbi (ig)
ReplyDeleteI'm happy because it's my birth month! I used to dread hitting my 30s and feeling like I haven't reached my lifr goals, but I realized that everyone has their own timeline, and I'm exactly where I am meant to be. It was also during the quarantine that I started regularly exercising, I do 20-minute barre classes daily (there are a lot of freecworkouts on IG) so I actually feel happier, healthier, stronger now compared to when I was younger.
ReplyDeleteJust like you, I am also happy to have learned a new skill, watercolor art! I am also happy that my income didn't suffer these days. I am also happy that my mom is with me during this time although she's going back to the US on August 23rd. This is the longest time that she has been in the country since she moved to US in 2012. I am also happy that my mom helped out in beautifying our garden, well actually, she is the original plantita in our home.
ReplyDeleteAs cliche as it may sound, I am happy that I am at safe at home with my family. My dad has been an ofw all my life and we never really had the chance to spend this much time together. Despite all the devastating effects this pamdemic has caused for everyone, I still am thankful because it has brought us closer as a family. IG: madeth_j
ReplyDeleteMany things happened for 6 months
ReplyDeleteHeRe are some of the things I am happy and thankful
1. I am thankful how God comforted me and provided our needs when I had a miscarriage in April. It was a painful experience
2. My relationship with God became closer, since I had limited access to the outside world reading devotions became part of my daily routine
3. My husband and I got involved in parenting seminar called The World needs a father, so many fathers are now absentee some are present physically but emotionally absent. My husband is also sharing the good news to others and despite of our financial issues we can still share (lutong ulam to our neighbor) How God amazingly do the magic when I cook sometimes biglang ang dami or sobra for a family of 3
4. I've learned to make homemade tocino, tapa, longganisa and even to baked simple goodies (Additional income na din :)
5. Thankful for every little things we got everyday, from libreng pitas ng prutas sa kapitbahay to libreng ulam from a neighbor
6. We are alive, physically and mentally healthy. All glory to God who created us for sustaining everything we need. He knows everything and He is always in control.

DeleteThis crazy time gives us more reason to do things that we haven't afforded to do before and be grateful despite of the hardship we experience.I'm thankful to be with my family, staying healthy and be able to do what I love such as gardening and reading books and blogs especially yours😃
ReplyDeleteI'm happy or should I say we're happy that even we don't have money, we we're able to help our community. My husband is a Barangay Kagawad and I help him seek for donations to different companies. Through this initiative, we were able to feed 500+ families, gave diapers to 130 babies, gave nourishment to 50 breastfeeding mothers, supported 200 seniors, helped 150 indigent and low income families, helped frontliners in different hospitals near Sampaloc Manila area even Dapitan Quarantine Facility by donating face masks, vitamins, disinfectant and disinfect mats. We were able to provide vitamins to kids and adults, food for 400 kids and we're still waiting and praying for more donations to come our humble barangay. We're finding a solution instead of creating a situation.
ReplyDeleteThe truth is I have so many worries, especially that I am pregnant and still working. But I am happy because God blessed us with another life in my womb. It's been 10 years since my first child was born. And who would have thought we'll be blessed with another bundle of joy in this pandemic time pa. But I believe in God's time and this is it. He will never give us anything we can't handle. He gave us something to look forward and to hope for. And for that I am happy, thankful and blessed.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ms. Frances. Continue to be our inspiration.

Grateful for our jobs that put food on our table, health for our family members and a really strong support system amongst my mommy friends/co-parents. I wouldn't know how could I have ever survived it without my amazing sistahs. It has been hell of a ride, this pandemic surely hits mental health too. And it's such a relief to have some people who got your back.
